A reputable consultancy business based in Birchwood is seeking an experienced category buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
They are leading business in their field and have won multiple awards.

The Category Buyer assists the Senior Buyer and Category Manager in overseeing and managing designated areas of spend. Your role as buyer is to enhance spend control and provide high quality procurement services to both internal and external clients.
The Buyer is responsible for ensuring compliant end-to-end procurement processes, managing supplier and customer contracts and analysing statistical and financial data within their category. The role requires the development of key relationships with suppliers and customers and the implementation and management of contracts within the assigned category, specifically focusing on commercial and customer benefits.

- Previous experience in a buyer role (or similar).
- Advanced excel skills e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Self starter who is driven and determined to develop their procurement career
