Senior Buyer Job | £35-50K | 5 days on site | Rochester

Your new company

An established organisation operating within a structured and regulated environment is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support supplier management and commercial delivery. This role will play a key role in driving value, governance, and strong supplier relationships across the business.

Your new role

  • Negotiating commercial terms, conditions, pricing, and contracts with suppliers
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring purchase order budgets and identifying cost‑saving opportunities through effective negotiation
  • Tracking supplier performance, managing KPIs, and resolving issues at a senior level
  • Maintaining accurate supplier order books and procurement data within the Oracle ERP system
  • Supporting the implementation of corporate procurement processes, including strategic supplier, subcontract, and commodity management
  • Coaching and supporting junior team members, contributing to audits and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in buying, procurement, or purchasing
  • Demonstrated capability in leading negotiations and managing supplier relationships
  • Experience with terms and conditions
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-functional relationships internally and externally
  • Eligibility for security clearance
