Hays are supporting a market-leading manufacturing company in their search for a Buyer.

Your new role

This Buyer role reports directly to the Procurement Manager and will support the successful purchasing of goods for production with the best possible lead times and costings. The post holder will be innovative and efficient in the sourcing of materials and equipment and support in the management of supplier performance and maintaining good working relations with suppliers and customers. You will conduct pricing and service negotiations and maintain stock levels and supply chain flow to ensure customers experience the best service and goods.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working in a purchasing or procurement role.

• Be able to think creatively and offer solutions.

• Have strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

• Experience of working within in a busy department within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
