Senior Building Surveyor for Top 150 Consultancy

Your new company

This is an opportunity to step into a senior role within one of the UK’s most respected multidisciplinary consultancies. For over four decades, their Building Surveying division has delivered exceptional work across the social housing sector — and they’re not slowing down.
The team has achieved double‑digit growth for five consecutive years, driven by long‑standing client relationships, a reputation for quality, and a culture that genuinely empowers its people.
Now, they’re looking for an ambitious Senior Building Surveyor who’s ready to take the next step toward leadership.

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality consultancy services to a diverse social housing client base. You’ll be trusted to lead projects, support junior colleagues, and act as a key client interface.

You will be involved in:
  • Contract administration across a range of refurbishment and maintenance schemes
  • Preparing detailed specifications and schedules of work
  • Managing client relationships and representing the consultancy with confidence
  • Providing technical expertise across building pathology, compliance, and project delivery
  • Supporting the development of the team as it continues to grow
This is a role for someone who wants more than day‑to‑day project work — it’s for someone who wants influence, visibility, and a clear route into leadership.

You’ll thrive here if you bring:
  • Experience working within a consultancy environment
  • Strong capability in contract administration, spec writing, and client-facing delivery
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • The confidence to lead projects and mentor others
  • Experience within the social housing sector (highly advantageous)
  • MRICS status is desirable, but not essential — experience and attitude matter most.

Why join?
  • A stable, established team with 40+ years of sector expertise
  • A high‑performing environment with consistent year‑on‑year growth
  • Genuine progression into leadership roles
  • A collaborative culture that values autonomy and professional development
  • A strong pipeline of social housing projects with long‑term clients
  • This is the ideal move for a surveyor who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and help shape the future of a thriving team.
