They are currently recruiting a large loss senior associate to join either their Manchester or Birmingham office on a hybrid basis. Your new role
This Large Loss Senior Associate role will see you:
- Manage a diverse caseload of complex liability and injury claims, including multi-track and large loss matters.
- Handle both pre-litigation and litigated files, up to a high multi-track level.
- Advise on employers’ liability (EL), public liability (PL), motor, product liability, and defective premises/property claims.
- Liaise with a range of clients, including insurers, public sector clients, local authorities, restaurants, retails and clients in the leisure industry.
- Supervision of junior team members where required.
- Conduct thorough investigations and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in assessing liability and quantum.
- Maintain and develop client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues across national and international offices on cross-border quantum investigations.
- Apply knowledge of policy coverage where required.
What you'll need to succeed
- UK Qualified Solicitor (6+ years PQE) or CILEX qualified with relevant experience.
- Proven litigation experience, including handling high-value multi-track defendant work.
- Working knowledge of policy coverage is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
