Are you an experienced, hands‑on Company Accountant looking to take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations within a growing SME?
A well‑established business in Ascot is seeking a proactive and commercially minded accountant to join their team full‑time in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing daily accounting operations including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journals, and month‑end tasks
- Producing accurate financial reports to support leadership decision‑making
- Handling VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards
- Managing UK movement of goods processes including documentation, compliance, and cost tracking
- Overseeing cashflow and supporting budgeting and forecasting
- Working closely with operational teams to streamline processes and improve financial visibility
- Supporting year‑end preparation and liaising with external accountants
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in an SME finance environment where you’ve been involved in broad, hands‑on accounting
- Strong operational accounting skills with confidence managing day‑to‑day finance
- Proficiency with Xero (essential)
- Solid VAT knowledge and experience with UK movement of goods
- A relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA – part‑qualified or qualified)
- A proactive, detail‑driven mindset with the ability to work independently
- Comfort working on‑site full‑time in a collaborative office environment
