Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong commitment to inclusive education? Hays Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in the heart of Islington to recruit a SENCO for a September 2025 start.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or aspiring SENCO to lead and shape the school’s SEND provision and make a lasting impact on pupils’ lives.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEND across the school
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and support strategies
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and the SEND Code of Practice
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations, and personalised learning

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds QTS and has experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Holds or is willing to work towards the
    National Award for SEN Coordination
  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive pedagogy
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Is reflective, resilient, and passionate about making a difference
