Lead Inclusive Practice Across a Supportive School Community!
Hays Education is seeking an experienced and motivated SENCO to join a welcoming and forward‑thinking school in the Northampton area. The school is committed to inclusion, high expectations for all learners, and ensuring every pupil—regardless of need—has the opportunity to flourish. This is an excellent opportunity for a SENCO who is passionate about shaping SEND provision and driving positive outcomes across the whole school.

What You’ll Do:
• Lead and coordinate the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
• Oversee the creation, review and implementation of EHCPs and support plans
• Work closely with teachers to embed high‑quality, inclusive classroom practice
• Line‑manage support staff and contribute to ongoing training and development
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies
• Coordinate intervention strategies and monitor the impact on pupil progress
• Support safeguarding and wider pastoral initiatives where required
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• NASENCo qualification (or working towards it) – essential
• QTS with strong experience supporting pupils with SEND in any school setting
• Excellent working knowledge of statutory SEND requirements and best practice
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and multi‑agency professionals
• A compassionate, reflective and student‑centred approach
• Passion for driving high standards of provision for learners with diverse needs
