SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant job in Dudley, starting in September.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism, starting in September. This full-time role involves:

  • Supporting the child in line with their EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
  • Creating and maintaining a consistent daily routine to support emotional and academic development.
  • Delivering tailored support in phonics and maths, appropriate to the child’s EYFS-level learning.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with children with Autism or other SEN needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and early learning strategies.
  • Ability to follow EHCP guidance and contribute to progress tracking.
