SEN Teaching Assistant:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible SEN Teaching Assistant to join the SEN team at a specialist setting in Dudley. In this role, you will provide vital support to students in KS2 with Speech and Language needs.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly those with Speech and Language difficulties. A genuine passion for helping children and supporting their individual learning needs within an educational setting
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of a school environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with children and colleagues.
  • Ability to commute reliably to Dudley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children in KS2 with Speech and Language needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), helping students to meet their learning objectives.
  • Help students improve their communication skills through targeted activities and tailored interventions.
  • Support the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and providing additional assistance as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENCo, class teachers, and other staff to ensure a holistic and inclusive approach to learning.
