SEN Teaching Assistant (EAST LONDON)

Salary: £140.28 - £180.56 per day
Contract: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

About the role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom, either individually or in small groups
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs) under the guidance of the SENCO and class teachers
- Developing positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their participation and engagement in learning activities
- Assisting pupils with their personal, social, and emotional development
- Monitoring and recording pupils' progress and providing feedback to the SENCO and class teachers
- Attending training and meetings as required
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Have a relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Have previous experience of working with children with SEND, preferably in a primary school setting
- Have knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the National Curriculum
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be patient, empathetic and resilient
- Be able to work as part of a team and independently
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
