Semi-Senior Accountant Role - South Birmingham - Well established firm with excellent reputation for training

Your new company

New opportunity within a well established accountancy firm with offices in South Birmingham at Semi-Senior level.

Your new role

As a Semi-Senior within this firm, you will spend your time working on a mix of audit and accounts work with clients across a range of industries. You will be supported by a long-standing team of seniors and managers who will support your development and learning within this accredited firm. Clients vary in size, including some large multi-million pound turnover businesses, subsidiaries of large groups, charities and smaller limited companies and sole traders. As such, in this role, you will have the opportunity to gain broad experience. There are very few "away audits" and these are split across the team, so this role doesn't involve significant amounts of travel around the country.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have gained around 2 years' experience within a UK accountancy firm preparing accounts. Some exposure to audit work would be beneficial but not essential. If you have started towards AAT and have gained L3 or L4 and are now looking to reach the next step, that would be ideal. Alternately, you may have started towards ACCA studies.

What you'll get in return

On offer - study support, flexible working, hybrid working up to 2 days per week post probation period, team activities including sports and socials, onsite parking and a varied role which will enable you to gain a breadth of experience as you qualify.

This is a great role for someone seeking to further their practice career within a mid-sized independent firm that offers a good work-life balance and great training. With a high proportion of staff with very long service, this is a firm that does a good job of looking after their team! Find out how you can be part of this by getting in touch to find out more!
