Security Officer Based Onsite in Belfast

Your new company

Hays Recruitment is currently working with a large Public Sector body on recruiting a Security Officer/ Security Guard based on site in Belfast.

36.5 HOURS PER WEEK OVER A 9-WEEK ROTA INCLUDING NIGHTS AND WEEKEND ON A ROTA BASIS.

3 SHIFT ROTATION, 07.00–15.00. 15.00–23.00. 23.00–07.00.

SEVEN DAYS ON AND FOUR DAYS OFF.

Your new role

Enforcing client's regulations relating to security, traffic and car parking; liaison with other building service departments and the partnering staff.

Patrolling the grounds and checking the security of buildings to prevent burglary, theft, vandalism, fire etc. and to prevent unauthorised persons from entering the building.

Locking up, and opening certain buildings at specified times, and carrying out internal checks of buildings when required.

Performing rota gate duty as necessary; checking in visitors to the building, and attending the automatic telephone answering machine when the switchboard is unattended.

Patrolling halls areas, dealing with any issues that may arise.

Preparing accurate written reports, when required.

Record and maintain records of the body camera recordings, in line with the client.

Assisting in the evacuation of buildings in the event of an emergency.

Administering first aid as required (training will be provided).


What you'll need to succeed

1. Have at least one year's security experience of external foot patrolling and static guarding.

2. Having a full current driving licence. This criterion may be waived in the case of a person whose disability prohibits driving.

3. Have the ability to communicate clearly and have experience of preparing accurate written reports.

4. Have experience of traffic control and management.

5. Willing to undertake SIA (Security Industry Authority) level 2 Door Supervisor training.

6. Willing to undertake first aid training.
