Hays Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Wigan and the surrounding areas and is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teachers to join our growing team for September and throughout the academic year.
Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for flexibility or an ECT who has yet to secure a permanent role, we have opportunities to suit your needs.

The Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and student engagement.
  • Support pupils in achieving their academic potential.

What You'll Need
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Geography within UK secondary schools.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for Geography and inspiring young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
