About the Role
Hays Education is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Blackpool and the surrounding areas to recruit Cover Supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience and take their first steps into a career in education.As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work. This role is ideal for those who are confident, organised, and passionate about working with young people.

- Youth work
- Community work
- Coaching or mentoring
- Support roles within schools or similar environments
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support students in completing set work
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following the lesson
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, or similar)
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Confidence-leading groups of students aged 11–16
- A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
