About the Role
After an exceptionally busy year supporting secondary schools across Oldham last year, we are expecting the same this year. Hays Education is once again recruiting General Supply Teachers to meet continued demand for classroom cover. We’re looking for passionate, adaptable educators ready to step into a variety of teaching roles—whether it’s a single day or a full term.
From general cover to subject-specific placements, we offer flexible opportunities that suit your availability and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment
- Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and expectations
- Collaborate with school staff and contribute to pupil progress
✅ What We’re Looking For
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in secondary schools (any subject specialism welcome)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
