Secondary Schools Cover Supervisors across Huddersfield, immediately available
We are currently seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis in secondary schools across kirklees, immediate start
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and supporting students’ learning in a classroom setting.
The Role
As a day-to-day supply Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. Duties include:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing a calm, positive, and productive learning environment
- Supporting students with their work where appropriate
- Adapting to different schools, subjects, and age groups (KS3 and KS4)
Work can range from single-day cover to short-term assignments, depending on school requirements and your availability.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar setting (desirable)
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A flexible, professional, and reliable approach
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Degree-level education or relevant experience (preferred but not essential)
