Science Technician job in Leicester | Temporary
Full-time | Temporary | Immediate Start
I am working with a school in Leicester that is seeking a proactive and reliable Science Technician on a temporary, full‑time basis.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Supporting the delivery of science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics Preparing, setting up and safely maintaining laboratory equipment and materials
- Ensuring all experiments follow health & safety procedures
- Organising and storing chemicals and apparatus securely
- Assisting teachers during practical sessions where required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised lab environment
- Managing stock levels and ordering resources when needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Previous school-based or lab technician experience
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work safely at all times
- Good literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills
- A calm, dependable approach and the ability to multitask confidently
- A solid understanding of lab safety procedures
