Science Teacher – Secondary SEMH School
Location: North Manchester
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with strong potential to become permanent)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and experienced team in a role that offers both challenge and fulfilment.

Your New Role
As a Science Teacher in this specialist setting, you will:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to students aged 11–16.
  • Adapt the curriculum to meet the individual needs of learners with SEMH and behavioural challenges.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Use creative teaching strategies to re-engage learners and promote academic progress.
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • A strong understanding of SEMH and behaviour management strategies.
  • A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
