A Special Needs School for children with behavioural and emotional difficulties based in Sandwell Birmingham is looking for a School Receptionist/Administrator. The role is 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday term time only. This is initially to cover till the end of term and is likely to extend.
Your new job
The school reception is a very busy and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting parents, visitors and pupils as well as answering and transferring calls and taking messages and ensuring safeguarding procedures are adhered too. You will also be responsible for inputting pupil data into SIMs and general administration duties.
What you'll need to succeed
For this school receptionist job, you will need to have excellent communication skills and telephone manner with the ability to work in a pressured environment, as well as an understanding of the importance of 'Child Protection and Safeguarding' issues when working on a school reception. You will also have recent experience working as a school receptionist with satisfactory references. Any person working in a school must hold an enhanced DBS check.
