School Receptionist Required - ASAP Start - Skelmersdale

Are you looking for a new fast-paced and motivating school administration/receptionist role?

Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for working with children and their families?

If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our temporary school receptionist position in Skelmersdale.

Your new role

Within this fast-paced school receptionist role based in a Skelmersdale school, you will be responsible for managing a number of varied administrative and reprograhics tasks, as well as taking calls, signing people in and out of the building and being a main port of call for pupils to the school. You will work closely with the teachers and other support staff to ensure the smooth running of this front office.

This is a term-time-only position working Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm and will be temporary on an ongoing basis. A DBS on the update service would be an advantage for this role.

Duties may include:

  • Taking calls and messages.
  • Welcoming visitors to the school and ensuring they are signed in and out accordingly
  • Booking appointments and arranging meetings with parents and outside agencies.
  • Update and maintain pupil and staff records or databases, using computer applications such as Microsoft Office, SIMS, ParentPay, Arbor etc.
  • Send and receive letters and emails.
  • Follow the school policies and procedures regarding health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection
  • Dealing with reprographics needs within the office.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a school or office environment is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of SIMS or Arbor and other school systems
