School Receptionist job - Full-time role to start ASAP

An 11–16 secondary school in North-West Leicestershire is seeking a professional and approachable Receptionist to join their main office team as soon as possible. It is full-time, term-time-only, working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm. It is initially a temporary position but has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

It is full-time, term-time-only, working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm. It is initially a temporary position but has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will be the first point of contact for students, staff, parents/carers and visitors. Your responsibilities will include managing the reception area, handling phone and email enquiries, supporting administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation of the school’s front office.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous school-based experience in a receptionist or administrative role
- Previous school-based experience in a receptionist or administrative role
- Must have an Enhanced DBS which is registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Desirable: experience of using the internal school systems: Arbor/Go4schools.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A calm, professional manner and the ability to multitask.
