Are you a dedicated and Enthusiastic Nursery Nurse, Early Years or Teaching Assistant and looking for a new position?

A Primary School in Prescot is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their Nursery/Reception Class, on a full-time, long term basis starting in September for the full academic year.

If you are an empathetic and inspirational Teaching Assistant with experience, then this is the ideal job for you as you will be joining a hard-working, forward-thinking team, you will need to be proactive in your approach, with an ability to motivate yourself as well as the children in your care.

You will be working in a Nursery/Reception Class where you will be implementing daily routines and policies and be involved in the planning, reviewing, assessment and monitoring the implementation of the Early Years Curriculum within the existing team of staff.

The successful Teaching Assistant will hold the relevant qualifications in addition to having experience of supporting children in a primary school or nursery setting within the last 2 years.


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant job, you will hold a Level 2/3 or equivalent Teaching Assistant or Nursery Nurse/Early Years qualification and have reference-able experience of working in a primary school in the last 2 years. A proven record of managing challenging behaviour and supporting children to understand the route of their frustrations is essential,

  • Ability to engage with pupils of varying ages and abilities.
  • Experience of working on a one-to-one basis with pupils
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to work
