Primary School Caretaker – Bradford/Bingley

A primary school in the Bradford/Bingley area is seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to provide essential site support during a period of long‑term sickness cover. This role is to start immediately and will run for at least 6 weeks, with the strong possibility of extending up to 4 months depending on the needs of the school.
About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well‑maintained. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong practical skills and a proactive approach to keeping a school running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening the school each day alongside another member of staff
- Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
- Ensuring compliance checks are completed and recorded
- Supporting the smooth running of the school site as needed
Requirements
- Relevant experience as a caretaker, site supervisor, or maintenance professional
- Experience within a school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong practical skills and a good understanding of health & safety
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, if you do not have one, you must be willing to apply
