We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Temporary School Caretaker to support a school in Newcastle on a short-term basis, with an ASAP start.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well maintained throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and securing the school site
- General caretaking and site maintenance duties
- Carrying out basic repairs and health & safety checks
- Supporting with cleanliness and tidiness of school premises
- Liaising with staff regarding site-related issues
Essential Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
- Ability to commit to full-time hours at short notice
- Reliable, practical, and able to work independently
Desirable:
- Previous experience working as a caretaker or similar
- Experience within a school or education environment (desirable but not essential)
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with caretaking or facilities experience looking for short-term work within a school setting.
