Your new company

Hays Education are working with a primary school in Kirkby who are looking for a full time administrator to join their team. This job will start asap, and is full time Monday–Friday during term time.


Your new role

This school administration job involved working full time in a busy school office. You will work alongside one other administrator and share responsibility for the daily running of the office.


Typical duties include:
  • Being the first point of call for any staff, pupils and visitors to school
  • Handling incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Making outgoing calls
  • Diary management
  • Using the school system to manage high volumes of student data
  • Input register information
  • Collate dinner numbers
  • Handling petty cash
  • Dealing with post and email queries


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in securing this school administration role, you will:

  • Be a highly organised person with excellent time management skills.

  • Have strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to work with diverse groups of people over the course of a day.

  • Be professional, and willing to promote the school ethos from the moment people get in touch with or visit the school.

  • Be competent in the use of MS Office, typing and be comfortable learning bespoke programmes for the handling of highly confidential data.
