Your new school
The Trust was established in September 2021 by its founding members, a secondary school and a primary school within a faith educational tradition. Its mission is to build a community of schools united in solidarity and guided by subsidiarity, ensuring that every pupil receives the support they need to thrive. The schools celebrate unity in diversity, working together while maintaining their unique identities, and are committed to the holistic development and success of all pupils. The Trust’s patron, a historic figure of faith who served courageously in the region it now encompasses, remains a powerful symbol of its dedication to forming the whole person.

Your new role
The Governance Lead plays a vital role in ensuring the organisation operates in line with its legal and regulatory responsibilities, while also providing guidance and support to the governing board on matters of governance. To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bring an in-depth understanding of the education sector, including governance frameworks, legal requirements, and operational practices within academy trusts
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, maintaining a service-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to grow, with a strong focus on ongoing professional learning
  • Uphold the highest standards of discretion, ethical conduct, and a firm commitment to safeguarding principles
