School Data Manager - Permanent - Barnoldswick

If so, you might be the perfect candidate for this School Data Manager position!


We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive and experienced School Data Manager to join our schools team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a data-savvy professional ready to lead and optimise MIS systems to support student progress and school performance.

The successful candidate will be available to interview around WC 10th November and bring knowledge and expertise in managing school data systems, particularly SIMS.

Your new role

  • Maintain and develop SIMS and associated software for tracking and analysis.

  • Ensure accurate data input and secure storage of student records.

  • Design systems for reporting on attainment, attendance, behaviour, and progress.

  • Provide staff training and support in data use.

  • Maintain awareness of updates and training SIMs and other data systems used.

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to teaching and support staff in the use of systems and data to improve attainment and other key areas.

  • Create and produce marksheets, templates, and tailored reports, identifying data requirements and putting solutions in place.

  • Deliver clear data analysis to support school evaluation and improvement plans.

  • Support intervention tracking and monitor key student groups.

  • Ensure GDPR compliance and data security

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing SIMS and other school data systems.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of education sector data requirements and accountability measures.

  • The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
