Part-Time Administrator | Accrington

Job Title: Administrator – Supply Chain & Purchasing Support

Location: Accrington Office Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (27.5 hours per week, 30-minute lunch) Salary: Competitive (DOE) Benefits:
  • 30 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), increasing by 1 day per year of service up to 34
  • 3% employer pension contribution

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrator to join their team in Accrington. This is a varied position providing essential support across Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, and Fleet Management. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and accurate record-keeping across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Administration
  • Assess and process PQQs, saving and filing documents accurately
  • Chase insurances and compliance documentation from suppliers
  • Liaise with Contract Managers, Estimators, QSs, and Site Managers to ensure forms are completed and systems updated
  • Maintain and link spreadsheets with Eque and Evaluate systems
Purchasing Administration
  • Raise purchase orders on Eque
  • Manage petty cash transactions
  • Procure and distribute PPE, workwear, first aid supplies, welfare items, and stationery
  • Maintain records of external hires and cross-check with site requirements

Fleet Administration
  • Update vehicle records and fleet tracking systems
  • Administer fuel cards, MOT, and service records
  • Liaise with garages for bookings and manage vehicle check returns
Mill/Plant Administration
  • Maintain service records and book services, appointments, and breakdowns
  • Update Trackunit and Asset Panda systems
  • Monitor and update stock records

Logistics Support
  • Manage logistics calendar and job sheets

Aftersales Support
  • Log defects and manage aftersales email inbox
  • Liaise with relevant personnel to arrange site visits

General Administration
  • Timesheet checking and travel time verification
  • Provide accounts and admin support during peak periods and holiday cover

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in administration within supply chain, purchasing, or logistics
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across multiple teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Eque or similar systems is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
