School Administrator – Secondary School (WF Area of Kirklees)

Contract: Temporary via agency, with the potential to become permanent
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
Working Pattern: Term‑time only
Start: As soon as possible
Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

A welcoming secondary school on the WF side of Kirklees is seeking a reliable and organised School Administrator to join their busy office team. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis through the agency, with the option to move into a permanent school contract for candidates who are looking for long‑term stability. It is equally suitable for applicants who prefer temporary work only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing front‑of‑house support, greeting visitors, parents, and students
  • Managing phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Supporting attendance, admissions, and student data processes
  • Maintaining accurate records using school systems (training provided if needed)
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and preparing documents
  • Ensuring safeguarding and confidentiality procedures are followed at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a school office or similar administrative environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident in using IT systems and able to learn new software quickly
  • A calm, professional manner and the ability to multitask
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or willingness to apply for one
