BCP Council are currently recruiting for a Head of Service on a locum basis. Aspire Adoption is a well-established and high-performing regional adoption agency, committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families. Your new role

As the Head of Service, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Aspire Adoption. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality adoption services, working closely with local authorities and partners to drive continuous improvement and innovation. This is a temporary role for approximately 4 months, offering an immediate start and a competitive daily rate.


What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you will need:
  • Proven senior leadership experience within children’s services, ideally in adoption or a related field
  • A strong understanding of adoption legislation, policy, and best practice
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • The ability to lead, inspire, and support a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and partnership-building abilities
  • A passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families
