Sickness Cover Urgently Required

Your New Company
A respected housing provider is seeking a Temporary Scheme Manager to provide short‑term cover at one of their sheltered housing schemes in Norwich. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and tenancy support of residents, delivering high‑quality onsite services.

Your New Role
Based onsite daily at the Norwich NR2 scheme, you will oversee the smooth running of the building and provide day‑to‑day support to residents. This role has no travel requirements, though a driving licence is preferred due to the scheme’s remote location.
You will be responsible for:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for residents
  • Handling enquiries, low‑level complaints, and coordinating repairs
  • Delivering daily welfare calls and escalating concerns where needed
  • Completing key compliance checks, including:
    • Weekly fire alarm testing
    • Weekly legionella testing
    • Monthly H&S and pull‑cord testing
  • Monitoring and responding to pull‑cord emergency alerts
  • Supporting residents with tenancy matters and independent living
  • Managing allocations, lettings, and income‑related processes
  • Working with partner agencies to ensure appropriate support services
  • Encouraging tenancy sustainment and maximising resident income
This role is not hybrid - full onsite presence is required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you'll need:
  • Experience in housing, support work, or a similar resident‑focused environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence carrying out basic compliance and safety checks
  • Awareness of safeguarding practices and welfare benefits
  • Good digital, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • A Basic DBS (or willingness for us to process one at no cost to you)
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of local support agencies
  • CIH or similar qualification
What You’ll Get in Return
  • Competitive hourly/daily rate
  • Guaranteed 4 - 6 week assignment
  • Opportunity to support a valued local community in a highly rewarding role
