Hays are partnering with an esteemed engineering firm, seeking an expert in DC electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers. This firm is keen to explore talent globally, specifically targeting fluent English speakers with expertise in this sector from the UK, Ireland and EU.

Your new role

We seek a talented Senior Program Manager with experience delivering DC charger programmes. You will ensure that all technical, cost, and timing targets are met through structured programme governance, clear communication, and disciplined systems engineering.
You will be acting as a key interface between Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. This role consolidates programme data into a single source of truth to drive informed decision-making and requires a strong technical background, exceptional cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage complex programmes through all phases, from concept to market launch.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Extensive experience managing complex engineering programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven understanding of Systems Engineering and structured product development processes.
  • Expertise in project planning and tracking using MS Project, Jira, and related tools.
  • Experience applying both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise diverse data into actionable insights.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget management and cost tracking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing reports for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
