Sales Support Executive

Hays are working with a Telford renowned Manufacturing business based in Telford who are looking to appoint a Sales Support Executive on a permanent basis due to growth within the business. This role will play a vital role in the smooth operation for the sales function, supporting the entire sales cycle from lead generation to production handover and ongoing customer support. This role is central to enhancing customer experience, supporting the field sales team, and contributing to the companies growth and brand vision.
Your new role
As a Sales Support Executive, your role will involve:
- Research, develop, and manage lead and prospect data.
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver sales campaigns and materials (e.g., social media, email marketing, presentations).
- Manage enquiries and supplier quotations (UK and China), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Process purchase orders and coordinate with engineering and operations for seamless transitions from sales to production.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers via phone and email to provide updates, resolve queries, and maintain supply schedules.
- Maintain accurate sales and customer records using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
- Generate monthly and ad hoc sales reports.
- Liaise with internal departments to expedite orders and resolve issues.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need experience in the following:- Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
- Interest in engineered manufacturing and supply chain management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Navision is advantageous.
- Self-motivated with a desire for personal and professional growth.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
