The company:
Our client based in Dungannon is a family run business trading for over 40 years and is firmly established as one of Ireland’s leading engineering organisations. They are a market leader in their industry. They are recruiting for a Engineering Sales Executive. 75% of your time will be in the office and 25% of your time will be on the road and meeting clients. This role will require travelling throughout the UK & Ireland initially however may require further travelling depending on clients locations. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and what you can bring to the role but salary bracket is £45k-£60k plus commission, plus company car. In the office hours of work is Monday – Thursday 7.30-5 and Friday 7.30-1.15.
The role:
As Engineering Sales Executive your duties will include:
- Sales in UK and Ireland region - developing customer knowledge, their requirements, and technical capabilities.
- Develop plan for covering the global areas by working closely with the sales team and the senior management team to determine, sales area and customer contacts.
- Drive sales for all companys products whilst striving to maintain or improve company sales margins.
- Work with and learn from sales team to gain technical knowledge of all products and equipment so you can offer our customers a complete solution to their manufacturing/production needs.
- Work to sales targets as directed, in time contribute and develop sales strategy.
- Liaise with pricing team to prepare quotations.
- Plan work time effectively to reach sales targets.
- Assist with trade show preparation and participation.
- To develop, implement and coordinate a sales and marketing strategy in line with the organisation’s growth plan.
- To identify the go to market strategy - direct, via distribution or a hybrid of both.
- To develop, implement and manage sales and marketing initiatives in a highly professional capacity, respecting company values.
- Conduct research of local market and business activity and identify new opportunities for current and future products.
- Obtain feedback on products and services, as well as changes, enhancements and new products and convey information to engineering and marketing team members for research and consideration.
- Participate in establishing and tracking end user customer satisfaction levels.
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions and play an active part in marketing activities as appropriate.
- Be customer focused and work to company values and behaviours.
