Sales Administrator

Your new company

Hays are recruiting for a rapidly growing organisation operating within the technology sector who is seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Sales Administrator on a permanent basis. The company has experienced significant year‑on‑year growth, has received multiple industry recognitions. This role is based in Stockport.

Your new role

Key Duties:
  • Raise and manage customer sales orders
  • Source and evaluate vendor quotations
  • Raise vendor purchase orders
  • Maintain and update ERP data, including SKU creation
  • Monitor order progress and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate updated delivery timescales to internal teams
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with logistics partners
  • Manage and organise goods returns between customers and vendors
  • Enter works order data for configured systems.
  • Monitor, maintain, and verify inventory data accuracy
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Prepare supply chain and logistics reports and management information

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and solve problems proactively
  • Highly organised with strong time‑management capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in data administration within supply chain, logistics, inventory, or manufacturing
  • GCSE‑level education (or equivalent) in English and Maths
