Administrator | Temporary to Permanent | Glasgow | £18.21 per hour

Your new role

As Sales Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the sales function and ensuring the smooth processing of customer orders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing and accurately marking up customer orders within strict timelines
  • Checking orders and ensuring accuracy prior to dispatch
  • Handling inbound customer calls in a professional and timely manner
  • Managing a shared inbox and responding to order enquiries
  • Raising manual overnight and collection orders
  • Investigating discrepancies including shortages, credits, and returns
  • Coordinating proof of delivery (POD) requests and sample orders
  • Completing order matching and follow-ups
  • Supporting wider administrative duties, including order entry and invoice processing
  • Assisting management with ad hoc tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed


  • Previous experience in a sales administration or office-based role
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to support the wider team
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience within a product-based or order-processing environment would be advantageous
