Fast Growing Birmingham-based Company - Looking for an Account Manager to join their busy team
- Role Overview
A fast-growing company located in Rowley Regis, Birmingham, are seeking a dynamic and motivated Customer Account Manager to join their office-based sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management
- Maintain and grow and assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Regularly review account performance and identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Organise and conduct customer meetings (virtually via Microsoft Teams or face-to-face) to discuss products and services. - Sales and Revenue Generation
- Meet and exceed team sales targets and KPIs.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Handle inbound and outbound sales calls and emails to generate new business. - Customer Service
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide product and service information tailored to customer needs.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and follow-up. - Sales Administration
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations and proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system. - Collaboration
- Work closely with the sales, marketing, production and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions and performance reviews.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a sales or account management role (minimum of 2 years preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence and competence in conducting meetings (online and face-to-face).
- Willingness to travel occasionally for face-to-face client meetings as required.

Benefits
Starting Salary: £28,000.00 per annum plus bonus’s
Working Hours: 9am – 5pm (Monday to Friday)
