Fast Growing Birmingham-based Company - Looking for an Account Manager to join their busy team

  • Role Overview
A fast-growing company located in Rowley Regis, Birmingham, are seeking a dynamic and motivated Customer Account Manager to join their office-based sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Management
    - Maintain and grow and assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
    - Develop strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
    - Regularly review account performance and identify areas for improvement and growth.
    - Organise and conduct customer meetings (virtually via Microsoft Teams or face-to-face) to discuss products and services.
  2. Sales and Revenue Generation
    - Meet and exceed team sales targets and KPIs.
    - Identify and pursue cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
    - Handle inbound and outbound sales calls and emails to generate new business.
  3. Customer Service
    - Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
    - Provide product and service information tailored to customer needs.
    - Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and follow-up.
  4. Sales Administration
    - Prepare and deliver accurate quotations and proposals.
    - Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  5. Collaboration
    - Work closely with the sales, marketing, production and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
    - Participate in team meetings, training sessions and performance reviews.

Required Skills
  • Proven experience in a sales or account management role (minimum of 2 years preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence and competence in conducting meetings (online and face-to-face).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for face-to-face client meetings as required.

Benefits
Starting Salary: £28,000.00 per annum plus bonus’s
Working Hours: 9am – 5pm (Monday to Friday)
