Hays Belfast are currently representing a client who are a major design & build contractor that also boast a specialist Fit Out Division and are seeking the services of a skilled Contracts Manager to join their team.
This Co. Down based contractor is a recognisable brand in the industry, and outside of their construction division, they have a growing fit-out arm of the company delivering bespoke fit out solutions across Ireland for leading blue-chip retail clients. Providing first-class quality construction and delivering high-quality projects, they are now looking for a Contracts Manager to take the divisional lead and help strengthen their reputation while also building a results focused team.
Your new role
As the newest member of the fit-out team, you’ll find a company willing to invest in your career as you travel to jobs throughout the region and aim to develop further growth within the business.
As Contracts Manager, you will be reporting to Company Directors and shape the delivery of high-quality fit outs in the retail sector as well as targeting growth into other areas. You will direct your management staff to ensure that each project is delivered to the highest standards in the most cost and time efficient manner possible. Your new company prides itself on its open and collaborative attitude towards its clientele, and you will help ensure every project meets the standards while operating in this client facing role.
While building out a team, you will work alongside key stakeholders, supply chain, and new and existing clients, offering you a rounded, challenging, yet rewarding role. Overseeing multiple schemes and ensuring quality, contractual obligations and client demands, you will develop further revenue streams and ensure project delivery in a time and cost-effective manner.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Ideally, you will have five years of proven experience in construction management in a fit-out role or equivalent, with experience working with several subcontractors who interface with each other.
You will also have excellent communication skills and can meet with clients regularly, developing and creating new relationships along the way.
You will also require the ability to understand and resolve complex problems in the fast-paced environment of the construction fit-out sector.
Proficiency in Project Management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
You will hold relevant construction management tickets and training and have worked in a similar level role.
