Children's Residential Support Worker | Forest Gate | Perm - 36 Hours | £25700 per annum

Your new role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people on a 1-on, 1-off shift pattern, including night shifts and weekends. You’ll provide individualised care, promote positive behaviour, and help residents achieve their goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong, professional relationships with young people and colleagues.

  • Supporting health, education, and personal development plans.

  • Participating in household tasks and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

  • Contributing to care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports.

  • Acting as a key worker and advocate for young people in your care.

What you'll need to succeed

They are looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to making a difference. You’ll need:

  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

  • A child-centred approach and strong communication skills.

  • The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and professional conduct.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (or willingness to undertake it).
