Residential Support Worker
Your New Company:
This is a unique residential educational setting dedicated to supporting young people aged 16 to 25 with special educational needs. Rooted in holistic philosophies, the organisation offers a therapeutic environment that promotes personal growth, creativity, and resilience. The residential provision complements the daytime curriculum by providing consistent care, structure, and support beyond school hours, helping students to flourish in all aspects of their lives.
Your New Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people outside of the classroom. You will provide compassionate, hands-on care that promotes wellbeing, independence, and emotional development. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily routines, encouraging social interaction and life skills, and creating a safe, nurturing home environment. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and contribute to the therapeutic ethos that underpins the organisation’s approach. This role involves a flexible working pattern, including short days, long days, waking nights, and sleep-in shifts, to ensure consistent support for the young people in residence.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
To thrive in this role, you will need empathy, creativity, and resilience. A nurturing, young person-centred approach is essential, along with the ability to recognise and respond to individual needs. You should be confident in managing emotionally challenging situations and able to remain calm and composed under pressure. A genuine passion for holistic and innovative education is key, as is a commitment to the organisation’s values and vision.
What you will get in return:
- Weekly pay
- An internal payroll system with no umbrella companies and hidden costs/additional charges
- A friendly, supportive office team is available 24/7 with our on-call system.
- Career progression
- Referral bonuses
- Free training
- Free DBS
- Flexible working
- Holiday pay
