Responsive Repairs manager required to work for a large social housing provider based in Liverpool.

Your new company

This housing association is one of the leading social housing providers in Liverpool, dedicated to delivering high-quality homes and outstanding services to our residents. They are committed to maintaining safe, comfortable, and well-maintained properties while ensuring a responsive and customer-focused repairs service.
They are looking for an experienced Responsive Repairs Manager to lead our repairs and maintenance teams, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality repairs across our housing stock.

Your new role

  • Leading and managing a team of operatives, contractors, and supervisors to deliver an effective and efficient repairs service.
  • Ensuring all repairs are completed on time, to a high standard, and within budget.
  • Managing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitoring service performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices.
  • Developing strong relationships with residents and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Managing budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in managing a responsive repairs service, ideally within social housing.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in motivating teams and managing performance.
  • Excellent knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and health & safety legislation.
  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using housing management or repairs scheduling systems.
  • A full UK driving licence
