Plant Maintenance Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Lincoln
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Hours: Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Fri 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Contract: Permanent

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for operational reliability and safety? Join a specialist manufacturing business in Lincoln as Plant Maintenance Manager, where your expertise will directly impact production performance and site safety.

As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll take ownership of all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, lead a team and drive continuous improvement across the site.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and implement robust Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Maintain and improve site infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, and other safety regulations.
  • Manage the Permit to Work system and supervise contractors on high-risk tasks.
  • Lead a small team of maintenance and workshop professionals.
  • Oversee the engineering workshop, producing jigs, tools, and fixtures.
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns and support root cause analysis.
  • Act as a keyholder with occasional out-of-hours responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background.
  • Skilled in PPM planning, risk assessments, and contractor management.
  • Familiarity with TPM and SMED methodologies.
  • HNC/HND in Engineering and a NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
