Your new role
As a Senior Development Management Planner, you will play a key role in managing a varied caseload of complex and major planning applications. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality planning decisions, providing expert advice to stakeholders, and supporting the wider team in achieving performance targets.
As a Senior Development Management Planner, you will play a key role in managing a varied caseload of complex and major planning applications. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality planning decisions, providing expert advice to stakeholders, and supporting the wider team in achieving performance targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of minor and complex planning applications
- Preparing detailed officer reports and making recommendations
- Engaging with developers, stakeholders, and elected members
- Mentoring junior members of the team
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience working within a UK Local Authority planning team
- Strong background in Development Management at Senior Planner level
- Ability to handle complex applications independently
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- MRTPI qualification
