Your new job, working as a Senior Reinsurance Technician, will be working for a privately-owned Global Lloyd’s Reinsurance Broker with offices based around the UK and Worldwide, with their head office based in the City. Your new brokers employ over 5000 staff in over 90 offices worldwide and pride themselves on having an entrepreneurial culture that their clients benefit from. Due to continued successful growth within the Reinsurance team, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Reinsurance Technician on a temporary basis of minimum 6 months and offer full-time WFH

Your new role

Your new role working as a Reinsurance Technician will be working within a dynamic and diverse Reinsurance Servicing team where you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the team which covers all classes of the Specialities Divisions. This includes Marine, Retro, Aviation and Speciality. You will be required to support and provide guidance to the team about day-to-day workload and priorities. Manage a multidisciplined team, incorporating; Broker Support, Processing, Proportional, Excess of Loss, Claims and IBA functions. Actively building and maintaining relationships internally with a number of teams as well as externally with clients. You will also support and manage future planning, negotiating and trading solutions with all external stakeholder groups. Other duties will include conducting activity reports, financial data and performance reports, and challenging teams to improve processes and encourage progress. You will also incorporate knowledge and understanding of EEA and Non-EEA business to support the companies' Brexit solutions and process.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience of premium processing and or handling of Claims within Reinsurance and having experience working within the Reinsurance Market handling Treaty and Fac risks will contribute to your success in this role. The ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates. You will have the ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met. Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar software applications and IMR, CLASS, ECF, LORS.
