Registered Manager - Adult services - Winsford and Crewe

Your new company

Hays has partnered with an aspiring adults learning disability and autism service based in the Winsford and Crewe area. As your role as the Registered Manager you will be managing the 3 services in Winsford and Crewe and also managing 40 members of staff, with a Deputy Manager alongside of you. The services contain on adults with quite severe learning difficulties with a number of service users having 1:2 and 1:3 ratios. 50% of service users are non verbal.



Your new role
As a registered manager in an adults’ autism service, you play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and quality of care for individuals with autism. Here are some key responsibilities you need to keep in mind:

  1. Delivering ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Care:
    • Your impact on service quality is significant.
      Services with stable registered managers tend to have higher Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings1.
    • Familiarise yourself with the new Single Assessment Framework for CQC inspections and understand how it affects your service’s rating.
    • Explore our updated guide on achieving ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ care for practical tips.
  2. Safeguarding:
    • Ensuring the safety of the people you support is paramount.
    • Obtain effective references for all staff.
    • Ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks safely.
    • Clarify staff roles and responsibilities in maintaining safety.
  3. Creating a Positive Workplace Culture:
    • Cultivate a positive environment within your team.
    • A positive workplace culture contributes to high-quality care and staff satisfaction.
    • Your impact as a registered manager on staff turnover rates is significant.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful with your application you need full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 2 years referenceable experience supporting young people in a Deputy Manager role in the last 5 years, other requirements consist of:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management Health and Social Care, Children and Young People
