Interim Registered Manager needed for Adults Day Centre

Your new company

Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking to recruit a Registered Manager for one of their adult day centres. Your new role

Birmingham City Council is seeking an experienced and passionate CQC Registered Manager to lead and manage one of their Adults Day Centres, whilst also working with the other centres to create a cohesive service to all users, with identical practices across all 4 day centres. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults who require care and support, ensuring they receive high-quality, person-centred services in a safe and welcoming environment.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance, and operational management of the centre, ensuring that we meet and exceed expectations.

Key responsibilities and expectations

  • Provide strong leadership and management to the day centre team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with Birmingham City Council policies.
  • Oversee care planning and delivery, ensuring services are tailored to individual needs and promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure resources are used efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting systems in line with statutory requirements.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and prepare for inspections.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • To have referencable experience as a Registered Manager
  • Experienced in managing adult social care services, ideally within a day centre or similar setting.
  • Knowledgeable about CQC standards, safeguarding, and best practice in adult care.
  • A strong leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

What you'll get in return

You will be paid a competitive hourly rate and have a guaranteed long-term, full-time role until March 2026, with further opportunities for extension depending on funding. As a Hays contractor, you will have a dedicated consultant who will support you throughout the recruitment process as well as whilst you are at work.
