PERMANENT HR JOB IN LEICESTER

Your new company

Global manufacturing/engineering business in Leicester is looking for an experienced HR Generalist who will support the day-to-day HR operations of the business and act as the first point of contact for employee-related questions. This role provides administrative support to the HR function. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to grow their career in Human Resources. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced organisation. The Coordinator should bring enthusiasm to the office, and contribute to ongoing process improvement.

Your new role

  • Respond to basic employee enquiries about HR programs, policies and processes.
  • Provides general support around hiring: creating requisitions in the HRIS, completing transactions in the system related to hiring.
  • Supports pre-employment activities including processing background checks.
  • Supports onboarding of new associates systematically and through in-person sessions.
  • Assists in the communication of HR related company announcements to the employee base.
  • Prepares expense reports and provides monthly summaries, coordinates conference registration, travel arrangements and vendor payments.
  • Files various other HR documents and correspondence in a timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Partners with the Human Resources team on recognition programs.
  • Assists in the planning of company meetings and events

What you'll need to succeed

  • 2–3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy,
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
