Hays Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Ormskirk area to recruit a Teacher of Food Technology for a long-term assignment starting in September 2026, continuing through to March 2027.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to develop their culinary skills, creativity, and understanding of nutrition and food preparation.
The school boasts excellent department facilities, allowing you to deliver high-quality, hands-on lessons in a well-resourced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach across KS3 and KS4
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Uphold the school’s ethos of aspiration, kindness, and inclusivity
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECT's welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for practical learning
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
