Recruitment Advisor – Social Work experience required

Your new role
As a Recruitment Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting end-to-end recruitment activity across a diverse portfolio of roles. Acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers, you’ll provide expert advice on attraction strategies, compliance and best practice recruitment, ensuring a smooth and timely candidate experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Using the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage vacancies, candidate workflows and reporting
- Supporting or maintaining recruitment data within Oracle, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Advising hiring managers on selection methods, shortlisting and interview best practice
- Coordinating advertising, screening and interview processes
- Ensuring compliance with safer recruitment, equality and data protection legislation
- Contributing to continuous improvement of recruitment processes and systems
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally demonstrate:
- Experience working in a Recruitment Advisor / Recruitment Officer role, preferably within a Local Authority or public sector environment
- Practical experience using an Applicant Tracking System, with Eploy experience highly desirable
- Working knowledge or experience of Oracle HR or recruitment systems
- Strong understanding of safer recruitment principles and employment legislation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience supporting or recruiting into social work or social care roles would be a strong advantage, particularly an understanding of statutory and compliance-driven recruitment.
