School Administrator / Front of House Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and busy school in North Tyneside for an experienced School Administrator / Front of House Receptionist to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time temporary position initially running until the end of October, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils, and staff, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and professional running of the school's reception and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
Providing a professional and friendly front-of-house reception service
Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and visitor enquiries
Signing visitors in and out in line with safeguarding procedures
Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records
Supporting attendance administration and reporting Producing letters, reports, and general correspondence
Updating school databases and management information systems
Assisting with general administrative duties to support the wider school team
Providing excellent customer service to parents, pupils, and external stakeholders

Essential Requirements
Previous school administration experience is essential
Experience working within a busy school office environment
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Confident using Microsoft Office packages Knowledge of school MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom is advantageous
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
A professional, approachable, and friendly manner

The successful applicant will be required to undergo all relevant pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
