Your new company
You will be joining a busy and fast-paced Control Room environment within a large, Glasgow-based public service organisation. This team provides critical out-of-hours and emergency support across a range of services, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the local community.
Your new role
As a Call Handler, you will work on a temporary basis supporting multiple service lines within a Control Room setting. The key focus initially will be Telecare call handling, with exposure to additional workstreams as you build confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing calls relating to Anti-Social Behaviour and Out-of-Hours services (including housing repairs and homelessness presentations)
Monitoring CCTV and responding to incidents
Processing alarm activations (fire and intruder)
Liaising with wardens and external contractors
Accurately recording information and taking messages across all service lines
You will work a 3-on, 3-off shift pattern across a 7-day rota, with 11-hour shifts (day and night). Flexibility is particularly important to support peak periods between 07:00–09:00 and 18:00–20:00.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a call handling, contact centre, or similar environment is beneficial
Strong communication and listening skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage high call volumes
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
Confident using multiple IT systems
