A Secondary School in Cheadle are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised Receptionist to be the first point of contact at their busy secondary school on a temporary basis. This is a key front-facing role, providing a warm welcome to students, parents, staff, and visitors, while supporting the wider administrative team with day-to-day office tasks.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Rate: £13.68 - £15/hour DOE

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Answer incoming calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
- Manage the school’s reception area, maintaining a calm and professional environment.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and general correspondence.
- Support student attendance processes, including signing in/out and late arrivals.
- Assist with general administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
- Maintain accurate records and support the wider office team during busy periods.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role within a school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of school MIS (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom)
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
