Summer term Reception Teacher role in South Shropshire. Class of 19 with two TAs. Kindness and clear routines.

Your new school

Hays Education is working with a welcoming and community focused primary school in South Shropshire, seeking a dedicated Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team for the summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a delightful class of young learners in a supportive environment with strong staffing in place.

Your new role

You will take full responsibility for a Reception class of 19 children, supported by:
  • 1 full time Teaching Assistant, and
  • 1 full time TA providing 1:1 support within the classroom.
The school is happy to consider applications from teachers wishing to work 4 days per week, though full time is preferred.
The ideal candidate will bring kindness, warmth, and a nurturing approach, while also being confident in establishing clear boundaries, rules, and consistent routines to support children’s development and ensure a calm learning environment.

The school offers:

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Early Years, ideally in a Reception setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A caring manner and an ability to build positive relationships with young learners
  • The confidence to put effective boundaries and routines in place
  • Strong communication skills and a team focused approach
