Reception Teacher role in Dudley, Starting in October

This Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive school in Dudley, dedicated to fostering a warm and engaging environment where every child feels valued and supported. The school places a strong focus on early years' development, high-quality phonics teaching, and building strong, positive relationships with families and the wider community.

The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to cover maternity leave from October 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education and will be responsible for:

  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Delivering effective phonics teaching and early literacy development
  • Setting and tracking targets for individual children
  • Writing progress reports and maintaining accurate assessment records
  • Attending and contributing to parents’ evenings and welcome days
  • Liaising closely with support staff to ensure inclusive and tailored learning
  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in the Early Years, particularly Reception
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and phonics delivery
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A nurturing, creative, and proactive approach to teaching
  • Confidence in working collaboratively with support staff and parents
