I’m working with a primary school in the Pontefract area that is looking to welcome a Reception Teacher to their Early Years team after the Easter break. About the Role
You’ll take the lead in a Reception class, helping children settle, flourish and build strong foundations for their learning journey. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering a rich, engaging EYFS curriculum
- Creating a purposeful, play‑based environment where every child feels valued
- Supporting children’s early communication, social and emotional development
- Using observations and assessment to inform next steps
- Working closely with an enthusiastic Early Years team to share ideas and maintain consistency
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience in Early Years, ideally in a Reception class
- A lively, creative approach to teaching
- Someone who brings positivity, warmth and high expectations
- A team player who enjoys collaborating and contributing to school life
