Healthcare specialist required for a Private Client Tax Senior Manager role

We're helping this award-winning, national advisory-led professional services firm appoint a specialist Private Client Tax Senior Manager within their market-leading healthcare
team. A specialist in creating value for mid-market companies, across a number of sectors and industries, you will be working with a collaborative team ensuring the best financial outcomes for clients. Recently backed by private equity investment, the firm is on a high-growth trajectory and actively pursuing opportunities to further build its presence across the UK.

Your new role

As a specialist in the healthcare team, you will be managing a large portfolio of GP Partnerships, Doctors, Consultants, and Locums, providing tailored tax advice. This could include:

  • Supervise the preparation of tax computations and returns for high-net-worth individuals and trusts
  • Liaising with HMRC as necessary.
  • Handle rental accounts, CGT forms, IHT forms, SDLT refunds, and overpayment relief claims
  • Perform tax investigation work, voluntary disclosures, and tax advisory services such as residency and IHT
  • Train, develop, supervise, and support Trainee Private Client Advisers
  • Ensure robust review and technical oversight of tax computations, tax returns, accounts, and related correspondence created by Private Client Advisers and healthcare managers.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, trustees, executors, estate beneficiaries, solicitors, IFAs, and consultants.
  • Promptly handle tax compliance and advisory referrals, conduct initial meetings with new clients, and facilitate smooth onboarding processes.

What you'll need to succeed


To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience managing the personal tax affairs of healthcare professionals, including GP Partnerships. A professional tax qualification such as the CTA is highly desirable too.
